I just found this unusual periwinkle blue Tango compote (I believe it is a compote, the seller described it as a 'blue cake plate'...) - I absolutely love the colors - it almost glows. The top portion is a beautiful milky blue, then, below the clear collar, the lower half of the piece is a deeper, richer blue. I have never seen a compote in this exact form before, but I do believe it to be made by Loetz due to its signature and the quality of the piece. (Any comments on this are appreciated.) It measures 8.75" across and 5" in height. (Update 1/11/04 - the Loetz blue color used here has been identified as being called 'Himmelblau' by Warren!)
