This 'Aster' brand automatic wristwatch with roller winding was developed by La Champagne S.A. Louis Muller & Cie and introduced in 1931.
THE 'ASTER' WIG WAG AUTOMATIC - Roller Winding
In this design, the entire movement served as a swinging mass, mounted on two levers that swung out to the sides, and swung back and forth in a case frame, using only one direction for winding.
The basic movement was a complete round hand wound caliber, which was installed from the front in the rolling weight mass that also held the automatic drive. The winding and setting crown lay hidden beneath the hinged bezel.
