This is a sweet little bag I bought (with others) at auction. It is 7" deep x 7.5" in width with a brass type metal top and clasp. The little purse inside splits into two with the central pleat moving to either side, the white side being (I think) calf skin. My question is - does anyone recognise the skin? I have looked at Alligator and Cayman but I don't feel it is, I think it is a reptile but not sure which! Any help would be most appreciated!!:)

Hi there. Did you ever find out about this bag? It's awesome. Love the "reptilian" comment cuz wow, it really is different! Is this a vtg Hermes bag? On second look, doubtful. Ah I also see a tag in there, right? Very interesting to say the least. :)
Hi there shareurpassion, unfortunately I have not discovered what skin this bag is made from!!! The label inside says 'Made in England', it is certainly a vintage bag, but no indication of maker. I still have the bag, I cannot sell it until I can advertise it correctly, so still waiting for someone to recognise it! Thank you for your very much appreciated comment!
