I apologize ahead of time, and I realllllly hate doing this, especially here, but I have very few choices. I go though a lot of jewelry every week, and while I do know silver, and a bit about gold....I do not know diamonds. But for some reason this earring, yes a single earring, seems different.
I know it is impossible to tell by looking at a picture, and sometimes hard in person, but is there anything about this earring that speaks to anyone else? I found it in a box of junk jewelry, like it had accidentally fallen in. The stones shimmer, and totally bling. Like a real white color, like a soft color. I have a lot of trouble trusting any gold or diamond place around here, and I know people here know their jewels so.....sorry.....
stunning jewels:)
Sorry BH, no idea. Is the metal silver or gold?
don't know amber....too tiny to see any marks. Just a very deep glimmer to the stones. I understand that diamonds do not fog. Like, if you breathe on them? Is that true?
I would get it to a jeweler and have them do the diamond check. My personal opinion is that the spacing and look of the setting is more fit for rhinestones than diamonds.
Great, thanks dr. I knew you all would help!!! Thanks!
BH, these are not real. Sorry to say. I can tell the way it's made and the prongs are too big. But very nice and classic. Xoxoxo
Hi there is nothing to be sorry for I have found everyone on this site to be fantastic as they are all willing to help were they can. I also noticed that someone has already answered your question for you, best of luck
Zowie, love your kind heart.....XOXOXOXO
Hi! Moonstone, thanks so much, please do not be sorry. I love to learn, even when I miss :) Moonstone I am glad you are honest because I trust your opinion, as well as many others on CW, much more than the stranger at the "we buy gold" store. Zowie, thanks for reassuring me :) I totally agree there are so many intelligent and kind people on this forum. People with experience in their own areas, people who just like to help. That is why I keep posting here.....it is just fun. Thanks everyone for the help!!!!!
Why you don't buy a diamond detector. I have good help of this apparatus and costs only a few. Nice jewel!
hmmmm....what brand/model do you have?
Nope... Sorry
lol, thanks stillwater.
BHock i post here for the same reason Ive just got to learn how to get it Wright when posting. & Lee thanks for the complement I can be kind but if rubed the wrong way there is another side to me that I don't like but I don't see why I have to take other peoples crap. I'll only take so much of it. I also call a spade a spade & a lot of people cannot handle it. As they say the truth hurts. Sorry BHock answering here it's just that the message came through here. I wonder why they don't have a forum on your own page were you can answer or ask questions without having to wait for something on there site to come up. Be happy & lucky with your finds.
The brand of my diamond tester is: Diamond selector II - Culti®
agram, thank you so much for the suggestion. I was able to find one for cheap on the web, and it is on the way. Any suggestions on how to use it properly?
Where do you buy a Diamond tester
I bought mine on Ebay...THE PRESTIGE SERIES II MIZAR is the GIA RECCOMENDED tester...
Lee
Wow...moonstone, that sounds like the name of a famous magician. I got mine on ebay, but it was clearly not like the one Lee has. I just want to get an idea of how they operate first.
If you get savy with how it works...with the one I recommended ...you can even test other gemstones...like Sapphires ect
How does it actually work lee? infra red? sound wave? I have no idea.
BH, never looked...I even have a higher tech tester and paid $300 for ..and its a mizar too...never use it though...
hmmmm...interesting
