Jägermeister had totally different ingredients. Both brands are very easy to research on the internet. I am sure you will find it if you try.

This is a bottle of Gilka Kummel. Kummel is a caraway-flavored liqueur that was popular in the 19th century and up until about 1950. It's a savory, sweet liqueur that doesn't have a huge following today, although the Gilka company is still in business and still makes this product. The dates printed on the lead foil seal are 1836-1911, which commemorates the company's 75th anniversary. The company was begun in 1836 but your bottle would date to sometime after 1911, and possibly as late as the 1930s or so. Cheers, Eric ewitz@comcast.net
