    Here is a French bronze statue I have owned about 25 years. It is signed and dated 1864. Signed Aizelin, and was cast at the Barbedienne Foundry. The reduction mark is also on the piece. Measures 24 inches tall.

    Aizelin created the bronzes inside the Paris Opera House and seems to have been well known in his day. I love the draping in the fabric, it is so fluid looking.

    The subject matter is the goddess, Hebe.
