Small lizard silver and marcassite brooch

I bought this small lizard brooch together with some other silver jewelry. You find this kind of lizard brooches a lot but its the first one in my collection. They were very popular one time. The Victorians believed lizards were fire-proof. They stand for everlasting love!
My brooch is a bit later, maybe fourties. Its still a baby at about 3cm lenght in total. Its nothing special but I love its green eyes.
