Found this neat old scale at VOA for a few bucks. It dates from around 1907. The case and platform are a bit rusty and the face, which is paper is a bit water stained but it works fine. I was able to remove the trim ring and clean the glass but I think I'll leave the rest it the way it is. -Mike-
Wikipedia for a bit of history:
Landers, Frary & Clark was a housewares company based in New Britain, Connecticut. It operated from 1865 until its assets were sold to the General Electric company in 1965.
They manufactured a wide variety of products over the years, including stainless steel bull-nose rings and electric ranges, kitchen scales and vacuum bottles, window hardware and ice skates, mouse traps and percolators, can openers, cutlery, straight razors, aluminum cookware, and thousands of other products.
Many of these items were marketed under the brand Universal.
