Mike Moir wrote an excellent article on a series of vases designed by Gustav Moser-Millot, the last member of the Moser family to be directly involved in the glass works. His informative article can be found here:

I can't improve on his post, but after this weekend's antiques show, I can offer up another example from the series that turned up on my side of the pond (and now sits in one of my cabinets). My vase is in Goldtopas glass, stands about 7-3/4" tall, 7" wide, and, with walls that are 5/8" thick!?!!... weighs in excess of five pounds! The oroplastic decoration is very deeply carved, as the last photograph shows. The base is ground flat. Unsigned, but as Mike's article shows, it probably had a paper label at one time.
Pieces from this series were on display in the Czech Pavilion at the World Expo in Paris in 1937.

wow - great find -did the previous owner have any idea what it was? According to the Moser book these were part of a series -of Greek imagery! I'd love to see other examples
Mike, yes and no - the previous owner thought it was a Hussman design, based on what two other people had told him. I showed him the article in the Moser (factory) book. It wasn't a cheap piece, but I did get a good deal on it, I think.
