James Kent, Old Foley pottery, Longton, Staffordshire. Started in the late 19th C, but the globe mark was used between 1913-70's with slight variations.
thepotteries.org might give you a more accurate production date using the registration number, if you can read it. I've never seen the maker's mark in that location before. Is it a bowl? The pattern name may be in the banner above the word"England" which would also help date it
Thanks for the information. I spent some time the other day trying locate the exact mark. It is a bowl. I could not make out pattern name completely I believe it to say "**** porcelain" that might not even be acurrate as I am not confident and its hard to make out the lettering.
I don't know much about the maker, however that pattern is absolutely Minton Blue Delft, and the maker's mark is an absolute bang-on copy of a Minton mark with his name instead of Minton's. It's safe to say that this is intended to deceive someone into mistaking it for an older, higher-quality piece.n
