I bought this vase way back in 1993 and still not been able to find any info on the vase or artist. I am guessing the vase dates to the 20th century 2nd quarter or later. The clay is a deep and dark red. Have tried a couple forums but no luck. Hoping someone will recognise the crazy mark on the underside. I have turned it around and am showing it several different angles in the hope one of them is correct. There are also some asian marks on the base rim, but with time and where they are located I believe some of it has worn off and no idea if there is enough left to make an ID. I hope the pics are not confusing, but wanted to show the marks as best that I could. Any help would be appreciated. I love the vase, but would be nice to know more about it. The glaze is high gloss with greygreen, blue, brown speckling throughout. The white is suppose to be representive of Mt. Fuji from all sides or atleast that is my understanding and the snow upon it. I love everything about this piece except the mystery. Measures 9 1/4"h x 6 1/4" at its widest, top is 2" diam and base is 3 58" diam. Thanks.
