The main factory and head office was in Chicago, Illinois, and branch offices were in New York, San Francisco, New Orleans, Pittsburgh and Los Angeles. Dietzgen also supplied numerous rules made by Faber-Castell in Germany under the Dietzgen label in the USA. Dietzgen rules were generally made on a mahogany core with white celluloid scale overlays, and engraved and filled scales, some all celluloid and plastic rules were also made, as well as a few token aluminum and bamboo rules, re-branded from other manufacturers. Dietzgen is still in business today specializing in drafting, copy, and diazo papers and film.
