Sterling maple leaf brooch

I ve had this brooch for a while.. A maple leaf is the symbol of Canada, so I guess this was a tourist piece. It has a safety clasp which is gold plated and in the back it says: Sterling DMCO or BMCO.
Does anyone know which makers mark this is? And its age? Its definatly not very old, because of its safety clasp. Thanks a lot!
