I don't know much about the item, but it is carved from one piece of wood, and although the color is faded, it is still visible in the light.
It was found by accident under overgrown foliage, at an abondened house. I looked it up online and found shishi , or foo (fu) dogs, as a description. I haven't found any with two heads on one piece of wood.
It is 27" long and appox. 11 ' high. It is magnificent , and I would love to find out as much as I can about it.
