    I have another rocker looks like this with a cane seat in it and that has been called a Boston rocker what gives????

      I have one very similar to it and also a child's version sitting in my living room right now. The kid chair was my father-in-laws when he was a child so it's gotta be at least 50 years old. The bigger chair I estimate is close to the same age as it was a wedding gift for my wife's grandmother. Not sure what they call the style though.

      Yes it is a "Boston". The scooped seat back and rolled seat front give it away as a boston. Either orginal or reproduction.

      This was manufactured by Nichols and Stone in Gardener MA about 50 yrs ago. They stopped making the scroll seat quite a few years back. I have one in like new condition that I would love to know the value of. It was purchased 49 yrs ago.
