Very nice ! It appears maybe the colored plexiglass or what ever the colored glass is was replacing broken glass at some time . It doesn't seem to be of period of the cabinet . Great post ! Are the colored pieces glass or plastic ?

This has also been taken down by a hobbyist, modified and more or less put back together. The one good thing about it appears to be the door construction. Difficult to see but appears they are doweled tenon joints. Very strong joint that doesn't need glue. The dowels hold everything together. The stiles, rails and panel are all wood and they expand and contract together. The end result is the panel doesn't split because it can move. Joints don't pop or creep because of the dowels. Unless the tenon dry rots it will last forever. You can also take the entire thing apart by simply removing the dowels. Someone tried to put old hardware on it but they need glasses.
