Art deco ivory linked bracelet

I bought this ivory linked bracelet and some other ivory jewelry in a nearby monastry some years ago. There is a very old monk who used to live in Congo years ago. He brought back lots of ivory and ebony in the pre-ban period. Once a year during a very big festival in our city he sells the remaining pieces in the monastry. Every year he has less and less. When I visited his 'shop' this year he almost had no ivory left. So I m glad I bought some jewelry a couple of years ago.
This bracelet dates from the fourties. You can clearly see the schreger lines on the ivory. The one thing that bothers me is the lock: it opens really fast and I fear loosing my bracelet when I wear it.
