My Dad just gave me this inkwell. He said it belonged to his Dad. What a beauty !!!
French, (only because I can see the word Paris) but other than that, I know little about it. I love how the blue glass drapes over the under blue. These is a stunning design of flowers on the other side too, just like the flowers in the ladies hair.
I love it.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Would love to know more about it. I've asked Dad and he has no idea.
It's fantastic... Love the color, design and shape... I LOVE IT
Thank you. The color is crazy beautiful !
You can try researching on COUJON & LOUCHET they made ink wells and this would appear to have a mark of theirs. Although not a mark they used together.
Ditto what Doc said ;^)
Thank you ! There's sure not much information out there on that name. Maybe a very small company back then.
I seem to think they didn't actually make these. As I recall they were made by a totally different company but branded with the name. I don't see the writing well but below Paris it looks like it says 1Ducket. You are probably to young to have heard of a ducket but 1Ducket = 1 Dollar.
Hi,
Dad says it does not say 1 Ducket but says Louchet but none of us can tell what the word UNDER Louchet says. Does that help anyone pin down this beauty ?
And you were right fhrj2....I had never heard of 1 ducket before :)
Found More.....It says .....PARIS LOUCHET CISELUR
:)
Thanks JayHow !
