This is so interesting, I had to share with all of you. I purchased these also on ebay. The chain is 22 inches long and on the tag its marked: AJC V20-12k CO..and on the coins marks say: 1/4 Calif.Gold 1876.
Unfortunatley, one of the crystals is broken and the one pendant is loose but maybe they originally hung together on the same chain?. The circular holder of the coins each have a little screw knob to open the case to examine the coin or replace it with something else? Now, do you people think a jeweller would replace the crystal? Help? Also any idea if this is something they made during the gold rush days in California? Or the Maker, anyone familiar with that Mark? Another cute item I couldn't
resist, and need to know more information. I just love it..so tiny..The coins are 1/2 inch across, one circular and the other octagonal. Thanks for sharing your thoughts and expertise to me..appreciate it..blingiton1948
A glass watch crystal can be found readily, round crystals range in sizes as minuet as .1 mm. a match should be easy to have done.
