Roskopf pocket watch

A colleague of my wife told her that she found her granddad's old pocket watch and asked my wife if I could look at it. It was missing the glass, didn't work, the hour hand was broken and it was corroded

I happened to have an hour hand for this Roskopf watch and I bought a new glass. I fixed the movement and polished the whole watch. Now it looks like a new one and it runs like a new one. It keeps very accurate time although this watch is more than 100 years old.

The Swiss Roskopf watches were watches for the poor man, but they were built very strong. Every farmer etc. had one in those days and they had it in their pocket while they were at work. These were not watches to show off at sunday in front of the church. The fact that it's still running accurate today proves that these Roskopf movements were build to last.
