This is by far one of my favorite pieces of furniture. I found this gorgeous table several years ago in an Antiques shop in Florida. It was love at first sight! I would really like to know more about it.
Now that is nice!Great find!

I know this piece, it is a rococo period piece its usually made of cherry or mahogany and if I'm not mistaken has a marble turtle top, there was only a couple of craftsmen that did this kind of work, if it is a original you have a piece that is valued at 3500.00 to 25,000.00 depending on the maker, the first thing you need to do, is crawl underneath and check every nook and cranny for any kind of maker mark. I know that there's factory overseas that actually replicates these magnificent tables and by the way its called a console or center table was usually placed in the foyer or entrance hall...Great find I love it...P.S Look at the finial part of the table or the center piece that will also guide you to the maker, it's a big part of the whole pkg
Wow Kaye... thank you so much for all the great information. I haven't noticed any markings but I haven't looked either. I will be looking now. LoL If I am fortunate enough to find one I will owe you a much bigger thank you =^D

Thanks for adding extra photo it now gives a all over look
And maybe someone who is familiar with marble will give me some advice as to how I can repair the scratched areas. ;)
have you goggled how to get scratches out of marble
Yes but there's a lot of kits, chemicals, stains, sanding. Was hoping for a clear at home remedy.
