This is an antique child's rocking chair from the late 1800's (or so I was told by my in-laws). It is in excellent condition. The carving on the back of the chair is interesting. I'm not sure if it is a lion's head or what the meaning is for a child's chair. Personally, it's a little scary looking to me. Does anyone know anything about this type carving?
Hey! I was wondering if you ever found out anything about this piece. I have a matching high chair. This is the only place I have found anything like it on the net.
