Identify this great 10' table

Please help identify what this great table was used for. Its 10' x 43", very heavy. It has three sets of like holes that look like the would of had metal covers, and a different set at one end. i originally thought it may have been a cribbage tournament table but the number of what looks like peg holes do not add up. Has anyone seen this before? I'm sure stumped.
