The Acorn was believed to be made by Beaumont glass according to Heacock Book III on sugar shakers, Syrups, and Cruets. Normally produced in opaque colors of pink (pic on right), black amethyst, and blue, clear crystal colors are much harder to find.
The decorated green (center) if scarce to rare and the cranberry (Left) is extremely rare!
Also the Acorn was produced in S&P shakers, Syrups and a Toothpick Holder. Clear crystal colored acorns are not reported in the Salt shaker however I do own one in clear glass! (far right)
The shakers do have variations produced by other companies of the period.
