I got this months ago at auction, for just $2...I do not wish to sell him, he has attitude somehow...but I am curious - is he a sand cast - no seams, slag inside and some out, thinner metal, metal unknown (looks brass, looks copper, could be pot metal? [but isn't pot metal normally smoother?]) - weight is 6.8 ounces
No marks of any sort that I can make out. It does look to have at least a few numbers that are mostly covered over by patina and slag, on its interior bottom
He looks to be maybe an incense burner, but no burn marks...ring holder?
As far as I can tell he has some age, but he could be a 2013 knock-off
Calling him animal folk art for now. The lines of his body don't indicate a knock-off to me....but se-la-vie if he is......he stays...LOL
