Anybody know why this key would show the dates 1912-1962 when several bottling plants in North and South Carolina opened prior to 1912?

Maybe the 50th anniversary is not related to Coca-Cola bottling. If it was, seems like the bottler's name would be on the key. That symbol between 1912 and 1962 may hold the answer.
Thank you for your comment. I'm adding two close up photos of that symbol. It appears to have a thin line on the bottom of the T shape item. I wonder if that represent an anchor? Do you have any idea what this symbol could represent in relation to the N and S regions 50 yr anniversary?
It's a puzzler. One would think there is some tie-in to Coca-Cola with that Arciform logo on the flip side. earlycoke.com lists founding years of bottle franschises, including N. and S. Carolina. As you said, all are pre-1912.

Good find Daddy Nobucks and thanks for posting. I'm still confused by these keys.
What do you think the one on ebay was for? Do you think it was given to coca-cola employees and the 'C' represents a type of car the key was for as the seller believes?
I still have no idea what the Golden Anniversary key represents? North and South Carolina anniversary of what? Also, what would the 'H' represent? I doubt it was for a type of car.
It's still a mystery to me.
Here's my best guess: These are key chains which were given out by bottlers to their employees and customers. Yours celebrates the 50th anniversary of continuous ownership of a bottling operation that serviced both N. and S. Carolina (certainly located near the border). The keys were blank and could be cut for any use by owner, or left as the key chain holder.
Juanita, I found a reference to your key in one of the collector's guides. It's a souvenir key provided by The Coca-Cola Co. to the 1958 Bottler Conventions. The envelop used to package it is printed "This key can be duplicated for your car at any key cutting establishment". The letter stamping designates which kind of cars it fit. In the example I'm looking at, the envelope says "Style C to fit: DeSoto, Dodge, Plymouth, Chrysler 1956 and 1957". If you want, send me an e-mail at daveq@wowway.com and I'll reply back tonight with a picture of the listing.
Hope you got the image OK.
