Bought this at an estate sale. Appears to have been very well recovered and had springs replaced at some point, but the woodwork hasn't been touched. It has a single spring on each side. It is surprisingly comfortable. I haven't seen another like it online, especially the braces beneath the arms and the head pillow area.
Can anyone place the age and style? If not, any suggestions as to how I can track that down? I would eventually like to get an estimate of the value, but right now am mostly trying to satisfy my curiosity.
OMGosh, if this is what I think it is you have one heck of a find, if I'm not mistaken I believe this is a Hunzinger barley twist rocker and is valued at about 500.00-800.00 I would look and see if it is, congrats
Interesting piece, thanks for sharing it. Research is the key to everything, condition is the key to value.
