A George Archer piano stool out of Rochester N.Y. Mahogany original shellac finish, brass claw and glass ball feet.

Check the metal plate the hold the top to the screw it should have a maker on it.

My grandfather had one of these stools when I was very young in his basement by his workbench. It was painted with silver paint. I never noticed the beauty in it until recent when I saw one in a local antique shop. I think the glass ball feet are very unique!

their is one off these in my parents attic they away called it the eagle claw stool it has the clear glass balls is that what the claws are called t y we diid have a piano in 1977

bjwater you can get new claw and ball feet, or get use ones on Ebay.
