Hi. I recently purchased these chairs at an auction. They were listed as art deco style oak side chairs. I don't know anything else about them. Any chance they are actually from the art deco era? Do these chairs mimic some other designer? What makes them art deco?

I purchased them just because I liked the look and got a good deal ($20).

I say they were Johnson Chair CO. Chicago, Illinois. I sold a Solid wood swivel chair (banker's chair) with the same design on the back rest, and the curves on the seat were identical. My chair had a paper tag still intact that said Johnson Chair Co. and my chair was sold by Clark & Gibby.
