    I just picked up this painting from a local Salvation Army store for $4.99

    It is oil paint on black vinyl (about 24 x 30 in a wooden frame) with a signature of Josh 73 at the bottom right.

    I am not an art collector but really love this item. To me it is in the genre of retro, hot rod, greaser, garage art.

    What or how would you describe this style?
    I know nothing about this piece, but would like to get some information if possible (ie. was there any popular painters doing this type work in '73)
