    Here is a most unusual pickle castor which Ive never seen before. Along the way in collecting victorian shakers I also collect pickle castors and this one really stands out.
    There is a decorated rubina insert that sits in a stand that includes a bud vase.

      That is a good question and the answer is Im not sure. I do not see a place for them but having said that, Ive seen other unusual examples without them too. They may simply just hang off the looped handle.

      Does this pickle castor double as a vase? It looks by the picture like it has a built in vase. Multipurpose like an epergne. How unique. Where did you find such a pretty and unusual piece?

      Yes, it has a built in bud vase which is very unusual indeed!
