Here is a true Mt Washington rarity! This is a Puzzle pattern shaker in their Napoli line. The decoration is a 19th Century childrens character invented by Palmer Cox. These little figures were called Brownies and came in many different characters.
These pieces are extremely hard to find and rarely come up for sale!
The far right photo shows its oval design.

Awesome! I was wondering when someone would post a Brownie. Very nice!

      Thanks!
Are you a Brownie collector or a Mt Washington collector?

My collection is fairly eclectic, but a Mt. Washington Brownie has been on my watch list for a long time now.

      Thanks Amy :)
Mt washington Brownies are extremely popular and usually bring top dollar when they come up, especially Napoli examples!

As far as the shakers are concerned, they are not reverse painted. it would be impossible to do that. The shakers are extremely rare and highly collectible to say the least.
