this is a nice heavy piece of glass, I'm not for sure if it is a lamp shade, but the size is right, I don't believe it is hand blown, but no mold marks, any ideas on it?

I can't see it clearly but it looks like the ones they made for your outside light. They were supposed to drive the bugs away at night.
Having a hard time seeing detail, but you might check out Tiffin Poppies vases.

Go with the vase....it is worth more. The bug globes sold for $1.99 and didn't work. No wonder Ames stores went under.
