These are 'The Warblettes'- a trio of birds that sung backup for Chuck E. Cheese back in the 80's when it was known as 'Pizza Time Theatre.' It was recently discovered in the Chuck E. Cheese fan community that the birds are named Daisy, Maisy and Irma.
Chuck E. Cheese's Pizza Time Theatre had an animatronic band called 'The Pizza Time Players,' whom where up on a balcony stage in the showroom/eating area. http://img826.imageshack.us/img826/5631/4s5q.jpg
The Warblettes were seated to the left of Mr. Munch, the purple monster. They are a single pneumatic robot with an air cylinder that moves them left and right and an air cylinder that opens all three of their mouths in unison. They need to be connected to an air compressor and a computer in order to be programmed and operate. Currently they're just bolted down to that desk waiting for me to get an animatronic Mac Tonight so they can move onto being backup singers for him, haha.
When I became interested in Chuck E. Cheese's history and characters, The Warblettes were one of my favorite aspects of it. I love their design! What luck that a couple of years later I'd find them listed on eBay for only $125, pick-up only, just 7 hours away from my house. My friend and I had planned a trip up North and the seller's house was on the way there, so it all worked out just perfectly!
