Not sure what i got here.I do know that it is a pic of Martha and George and the kids.Does anyone know how to tell the difference of orginal or reprint? As you can see there is a couple tears to the pic.If this is orginal it would be over 200 years old. Thanks in advance for your help
It can't be a photo. maybe a painting, print or photo of a painting made later.
Looks like a lithograph. The frame looks to be very late 19th/ early 20th century, which is also the era of the print.
Remember, Washington has been a popular figure in art since his lifetime and continues today.
There should be some publisher information along the bottom edge, which will allow you to ID.
The condition looks very rough, which will detract considerably from value.

WOW!! Love it!
Hi;;Thanks for the imfor Scottvez and Blunderbuss2.I think its not as rough as it appears to look .I dont see any kind of ID of anykind on it.Thanks again Dale,
Scott, do you think it is a lithograph of a painting or print?
Not sure if it is taken from an earlier work. An image search of "George and martha washington lithograph" will probably reveal.
Did you check under the framing for publishers info?
