My Great Grandfather was a mechanic on Model T's. He did some work for a miner and his payment was this watch fob. I really do not know much more than that. There are no marking's but its really neat. The big part is not solid gold its quartz dipped in gold. I had a jeweler look at it and they said it was 24K.
