Here I have A Very Unique & Gorgeous Westmoreland Argonaut Covered Compote/Candy Dish in Green Satin Glass.

Westmoreland speciality made this piece in milk glass as early as 1885, calling it Shell and Dolphin.

Vallerysthal also made their version with slight variations beginning in 1908.

Westmoreland Glass reintroduced the pattern in the 1960's as Argonaut, and produced it in at leat 35 different colors of glass.

It is decorated with molded seashells, has stylized dolphin, which look like sea serpent feet and its handle is a shell on the top.

Hi JayHow, I'm not sure either. They look more like a serpent to me. I don't think they look like dolphins. Probably why I never reworded this post. LoL But I do love dolphins. I love how substantial this piece is, very heavy. Thank you very much JayHow, for the love and kind words. They're truly appreciated.

Its gorgeous. I have no frosted uranium, its something on my wish list. To find a lidded pot like this would be la creme d? la creme :)

Check eBay, I've found several of them on there... And they were listed for a lot less than I paid.
