    Hello, This was very cheap, It passed hot pin test, so not resin or plastic, maybe from India, China, or?? The flowers are a clue, maybe? Brass lining inside, seems old and well made with all pieces fitting together. I think it was painted with flowers and then a coating put on top maybe to preserve? Any help appreciated!! Don

      I think ivory is banded like wood grain, while bone is more porous. It looks like shell but it's difficult to tell in a photo:)
