19th Century Trinket Box

I believe this to be a 19th Century Trinket Box. It is 5 inches long and 3 inches high. The lid is removable. There is a pink flower and mint colored leaves painted on one side. The lid was also painted but very worn. The detail is amazing. I'm tempted to remove all the paint to accent the detail
