I kind of got sick of all Ruckl vs Welz war... so I examined some proof.
the label on the miracle example you can see in pic 1 compared with contemporary label of Ruckl Vcelnicka, you can see, that other labels differ only in one aspect, they are printed purple on foil, the miracle example is silver on black or some other dark color.
on picture number two you can see same label next to label "Bohemia Crystal Made in Czech Republic" meaning newer than 1993.
on picture number 3 you can see another label from the same auction with the miracle example, I will not insult your intelligence explaining why it is fake.
this is not attempt to weigh in for any side of the apparent war, I believe either side could be right, and I don't see any kind of serious implications if someone eventually will prove the true origins of items in question.
what else I believe is label on the miracle example is fake.
I believe that the reason we don't see labels on these items is because they were not labeled.
does anybody have example of pre-war Ruckl label?
stunning:) wow , and that label with the 1414 is unreal, I have a piece posted on here with a 1414 label as well but was a later one:) thankyou for sharing MacArt:)
Hello MacArt, The manufacturers label design in question was registered in 1903 per the Glasmarken Lexicon. My best guess on an actual production date of the 12" Rückl spatter glass vase attached to it is 1905. Hope this information helps.
Thank You all for loves and comments!
Hi Charcoal! The image of label on that site is the image of the exact label on miracle example! You can see exact same scratch from letter "S" downwards where it goes between letters "O" and "M"( http://www.glasmarken-lexikon.de/t/i.php?f=18252&s=l&q=4 ) I have basic access to site so all I got is the image itself, no info about it. I doubt the scratch is a part of the design. Have You seen this label on any other old Ruckl vase?
It all at best looks fishy, to me it looks fake. I will contact Ruckl directly, I will post with results.
