Hi, this is an art glass shade (one of a pair). I'm hoping someone can help me to identify it further. I had posted it in the Bohemian Art Glass section and I saw this morning a notation that my late mother-in-law had made about it being a Durand product. The shade would have been bought in the 1950s or 60s.
The green veining is embedded, and the background is a opaque very pale yellow/ivory colour with what looks to be an iridescent oil spot layer on top of the opaque layer. The gold inner layer is not as thick as some of the American makers. The fitter is 2 1/4" diam (outer) and the length, 4 3/4". The edges are scalloped and smooth, and the rim is ground and polished.
I had thought it was a Pallme Konig or Kralik shade. I had been leaning toward PK. It would have been bought in the northern US or Southern Ontario, Canada.
Thanks in advance for any help!
100% NOT Durand.
Thank you very very much! This helps me to refocus on what it might be.
