    (23 items)

i will show records that stand out in different ways, being sound or coverart.

    1 st record:
London CS 6138, Ansermet, L´Orcestra Suisse Romande, Stravinsky,Song of the Nightingale & Pulcinella Suite, blueback.issue
Ansemet being a Stravinsky specialist, shows it especialy on this record, where the full drama of the music comes tru, and on this record in magnificent sound quality, with blistering speed and power you get taken by this fabebules music, the only one in the same leaque is Reiner on LSC 2150,this is an other of my favorite records

    2 nd record:
Emi ASD 295,Santini,OOHR, Puccini, Gianni Schicchi, comic opera,
It has great coverart, and it is very enjoyable to listen to, big stage with big voices and great music, and in fullscale dynamic sound, better then many other ASD´s, tending to be both noisy and restricted in sound, one of my favorite Emi´s

    3 rd record:
Philips HI-STEREO SAL 3463, Skrowaczewski, MSO,Prokoviev, Romeo & Juliet ballet, This a Mercury master licensed by Philips, it stands out in any way, it has the original Mercury sound, being vived, clear and ultradynamic, and then the Philips virtues being deadsilent vinyl, and near perfect mastering, this a real stunner to listen to, and goes into the top of my sounding records, higly recommened, i will try to aqquirre the
SR version of this to, to compare quality, that will be interessting.

    4 th record:
RCA Living Stereo, LDS 2384 Soria series,Frits Reiner,CSO, Richard Strauss, Don Quixote, The Soria series from RCA are noted by their great coverart and the spectacular librettos, and are and where absolute luxuray items, with a very high level of craftmannsship put into the records, they are simply beautyful in any way.
The quality is also coming trough in the sound they produce, which is topnotch, the best being the Royal Ballet with Ansermet( a true audiolegend) the sound on LDS 2384 is full and rich ,and shows of the fantastic piece of music from R.Strauss in the best way possible, this one also comes in at the top of my collection

Ramma, That Stravinsky record I've been looking for ...for years! I love Stravinsky music and have several renditions of his ballets. Another one that has eluded me is SXL-2017, the Firebird, a disk to die for although many collectors feel that the Mercury Dorati version (sr-90226) is the better. The Prokofiev I have in an original Mercury mastered from 35mm film (sr-90315). That is to my mind, one of the better Mercuries. I imagine the hi-fi stereo pressing is very close to the original. It's rarity could make it more valuable even than the Mercury.
