Still trying to determine what I have here. Purchased this summer at north texas antique shop listed as antique jewelry. The store clerk did not know any details. In a way it almost looks like it could have been cut and made from 3/4 copper pipe. Stamping is native american. No signature. 2 inches long. Was hoping someone here could educate me. Rene'

Not very practical if you can't bend you finger. Maybe for another appendage?

      Maybe for a kerchief?

I find your comments exactly as some of my thoughts repeated blunderbuss2. Funny. I can however bend that finger. Inexpensive and somewhat unusual. I do believe this was intended for a ring but made of something originally not of jewelry use. Too heavy and small for table napkin/kerchief holder. I believe this was intended to make use of material originally another item, in hopes of recycling into a ring. It is old. It is odd. Being of native heritage, I know from the story tellers that in earlier times copper especially was almost always recycled into things such as saddle rivits and decor/arm bands/jewelry/ and more. Railroad metals and gun shells were a resource much visited. I thought over and over on some sort of tack use be it bridal/saddle/infantry items..still pondering that avenue as it would make more sense. Thank you for your thoughts. Rene'
