One more annual to post for today, I hope you are you not tired of my posting these books.
This is Dutton's Holiday Annual for 1855. Think about this for a moment: 1855, that was 156 years ago. That was before the Civil War. Franklin Pierce was the President, our 14th. In 1855 nationality laws were changed so that all children born abroad to U.S. parents were guaranteed American citizenship. History lesson aside, this book is a wonder of survival after all this time. This book was a popular Christmas present for a child. It is a book full of stories to entertain and amaze young minds.
