Not sure what i have here.Its a canvas picture with Jesus and its very old.I got it from an older lady and it belonged to her Moms Mom.It has no I.D. of anykind on it.Would anyone out there know or ever seen a pic like this before? Thanks, Dale
Jesus appearing before Pontius Pilate in Jerusalem to decide his fate on whether the jews could crucify him and Pontius Pilate decided he was not guilty but to wash his hands of it and used a bowl to wash his hands and told Jews to do what they wanted to him and then he was crucified . This was not in Temple But in Pontius Pilate's palace . I have seen this drawing before . It has been drawn in variations not all exactly the same .
If you scroll down this page you will see a similar painting . Are you sure it is canvas ? The edges look to thin ? Very nice !

Thanks Manikin for your imfor.Yes it looks canvas to me.Are these kind of pics rare or anything?I know its got quite a bit of age to it.I like it better without the frame it came in!
I found a lithograph of same photo that did mot sell it did not meet sellers reserve
Your's being on canvas I would say is a prize . Not sure how rare but deserves to be preserved and if canvas it should be stretched on a frame .

Yours is more valuable as a canvas but it is not a original oil painting it is a print on canvas and shows much age .
