This is a Peyró porcelain vase. You probably have never heard of this brand, but Peyró is the model followed by Lladró when it opened in 1953. In terms of colour we can see Peyró was an inspiration for lladró, which used this same shades of blue in its figurines.

As for the shape it is so absolutely 50s! Almost every Peyró item I can find online is very traditional, but this one is truly modern.

Almost no information is availabIe on the internet about the Peyró porcelain factory, but at least we know its origin is linked with the figure of Antonio Peyró Mezquita (1882-1954) a Spanish sculptor and ceramist born in Castellón (in the region of Valencia, which is worldwide famous for its ceramics), who was famous for the way he molded his sculptures as well as the colours and rich decorations of his work in ceramics, which gained recognition in several Spanish and International exhibitions.

Next time I'll go to Valencia I'll try and find out more info about it at the amazing Museo Nacional de Cerámica, which is located inside a no less amazing Baroque Palace (http://www.arqhys.com/articulos/palacio-marques-aguas.html).

Thanks vet!!! Have ou seen the women dressed in Valencian or Sevillian costumes on Google? That's their most famous stuu and I think made by Antonio Peyró himself.

The ladies remind me of the Cacciapuoti women but of course in Valencian or Sevillian costume. They look more serious, more reflective too these Peyró women.

As I wrote before, there goes my bad typing again... Of course I meant LOVES, not LIVES... I'm not that mean, asking for your lives or your first-borns... LOL
