I found this little gem at an antique store in London - Alfie's. The enamel is in great condition, as is the silver. At this time, my best guesses are either Archibald Knox (Liberty Co.), or Charles Horner, but there may be a possibility it's Schaverien & Eastmead. There are no markings that I can see on the back.
If there are any experts out there that may have an idea to the maker, I'd love to learn more!
Lovely pendant! My guess is it's a design by either Charles Horner or James Fenton. The fact that there are no maker's marks and the style of the bale suggest to me that it is a late 20th century reproduction. Still, really pretty and wearable :)
Thanks for the input BelleEpoque! :)
Hi there, Came across this whilst doing some research on Charles Horner. I'd bet my life BelleEpoque is correct, it's a 20th Century repro made by Charmian Deacon (as is their liberty repro). I hope that helps.
Still nice.
Thanks so much for the information Medusa! This is really helpful. I found it on Charmian Deacon's site.
Elizabethan, I have a number of Deacon pieces and they are very very well made and often almost impossible to distinguish from the real thing (as long as you don't look at the backs!). Good for those of us who love the style but can't afford original, bad for those who get duped on ebay by unscrupulous sellers flogging them as original.
