    (240 items)

Libbey Maize pattern can be found in a number of different items. On the left, is an example of the sugar shaker, middle os the salt shaker, and the right is the shakers which is made to fit into a matching glass base as a condiment set.
The husks can be found in a couple of different colors as you can see.

There is also an iridized version on some of the items (condiment set pieces). The condiment set is a rarity and an iridized is extremely rare. Im looking for an example of the iridized shaker but have yet to find one!

I agree, there was a few shakers other than Maize that used the corn pattern too!

It's perfect. Used to see it all the time but now, rare.

I hear ya, I once passed up a Libbey Maize condiment set that was iridized. I would consider it so rare as almost unheard of. I thought they wanted too much, stupid me, and Ive kicked myself ever since.

I hear ya, I think every collector has been through that. It just was such a super rare piece I have to have head examined :)

Or the chip you swear was not there in the shop :) Ive been there, I guess the excitement of a find kind of blinds you. Even though Im pretty good looking over stuff sometimes it get you.

Oh yes I know this! Or it's got so much grime the crack didn't show. Hahaha! I actually just put a big box together yesterday to re-donate.

I used to deal with issues like that with carnival glass. Shakers are pretty good and little damage. They can take quite a beating :)
I know what you mean by selling off items like that.

      Yep got a crack here...

Yes, with carnival glass you have to watch out for internal cracks aka Heat Checks, very common in carnival glass. The other issue is that the bowl and cups are one pattern and the base is another.

Yes, again, didn't notice in the heat of the moment and it was being sold as one lot. And it was not a place, nor a neighborhood that you fuss in. But that is where the best stuff is so....

Thats OK, do you run into much carnival glass?

I see your in Chicago? Some of my family is from there. Long time ago though, my father grew up there and my grandparents a buried there but could not tell you exactly where.
