I located this small 8 x 10 oil on canvas on one of my pics in the Catholic Charities one of my favorite places (Catholic Charities), that regretfully is no longer in the business. Upon close inspection, it was and is a painting by Carl R. Anderson. There painting has damage and is torn in the middle.
It can be said that he was an artist in the true sense of the word. That being said, he was photographer as well as an painter. He painted in several medias; crayons, watercolor and oils. He was resident of Kansas City in1900.
He is listed in the Biographical Dictionary of Kansas Artist, written by Susan Craig.
