I obtained this at a yard sale for a mere bag of shells....2$! To me, this is a very fascinating vase. It stands 24Cm or 9.5 inches tall, and it's outer shell is clear, with the inner color being a shade of blue, which is more concentrated at the bottom, with a strand leading to the top.
The vase is an unsigned work, but from my very rudimentary familiarity with the style, it appears to be of the Scandinavian mode. If anyone could help me with this, I'd be very appreciative!
Thank you, Moonie! What a quick response...hava great day!
This is a vase from Strömbergshyttan. Produced in several lengths and also with this internal colored pattern. Model number probably B831. B817, B818 and B 930 has also this form, but not the inner colored pattern. Design Gunnar Nylund and launched about 1957. I have the same model in similar length, without the blue inner color, number B818 and with the Stromberg sticker. In the catalog from 1962 the model with the inner pattern appears as number B831.
Very nice find indeed Ted. Rebessin is a marvel!
